Details

Upper Wharfedale is one of my favourite places in the local area and the stretch between Kilnsey/Conistone and Hubberholme/Cray has lovely views and is a treat to walk particularly in summer.

I'm leading a walk for Bradford Council, starting in the main carpark at Kettlewell, up a long fairly steep track (Top Mere road), going to around half way to Buckden Pike, then dropping down to Starbotton and back along to Kettlewell.

Come along and talk to me and FoBHCC Secretary Joy and find out what's been happening at Bracken Hall - and hopefully enjoy the walk too!

West Yorkshire Bat Group Bat Box Project

We received this communication recently and we think it's definitely worthwhile so both myself and our Secretary have volunteered to go along and hope you can come along too!

If you are interested, please email me (wsm@) or our Secretary (secretary@) and we'll put you in touch.

*** UPDATE: THE DATE FOR THIS ACTIVITY IS NOW SATURDAY 24-06-17 ***

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi everybody,
Thanks for all your messages and I've got a date for putting the bat boxes up in Shipley Glen as Saturday June 24th.  So far there are only three of us so we'll need a lot more help to make it a viable event (and if anybody can lend us extra ladders and wheelbarrows for that day that would be good too!).
I'd really appreciate it if you could distribute this email to members of the WYBG and also to friends of Bracken Hall - everybody welcome.  The details are:
Meet on Saturday morning 24-06-17 at 1000 near South Lodge, Coach Road which is just off Higher Coach Road, Shipley Glen; Grid Reference SE 128 386.  Parking available on the large track here.
We've got 39 bat boxes to put up in mature trees fringing Loadpit Beck and a small reservoir within the Glen.
Many thanks and best wishes
Madeline
